BULAWAYO City had their football gods to thank after they forced a two-all draw against an impressive Bulawayo Chiefs in a second round Chief Super Cup Group Two tie played at Barbourfields on Saturday.

Hughe Chikosa got the opener for Chiefs in the 18th minute before substitute Wellington Kamudyariwa converted from the spot in the 78th minute to get the equalizer for Bulawayo City.

Four minutes later, the city fathers were put in the lead by ex-Highlanders forward Mgcini Sibanda after he nodded home a Kamudyariwa corner kick.

In the dying stages of the match, Hwange based referee Hardly Ndazi awarded a penalty to Chiefs after Wilfred Munhorwei was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the box.

Chiefs finished the match one man shot after their midfielder was shown a straight red card for a clumsy challenge on Bulawayo City captain Douglas Sibanda.
