Gifted Zimbo Sentenced to 8 years for Cooking fake documents in SA
A proficient Zimbabwean crook has been sentenced to 5 years in jail in South Africa by the Mothibistad Magistrates Court withinside the Northern Cape for illegal production and issuing Zimbabwean and South African passports.
The 30-year-year old man was initially nabbed in 2019 and was allegedly accused of fraud and contravening the Immigration Act.
The man in question is said he was also selling driving licenses and giving provisional permits to asylum seekers. For all these illegal documents he charged his customers between R1,000 to R3,000
“The accused was at first sentenced to 8 years imprisonment, of which 3 years is suspended on conditions of good behavior. He will spend 5 years in jail without a choice of fine”, stated provincial Hawks spokesperson, Nomthandazo Mnisi.
