NRZ offers free transport for Covid-19 goods

The National Railways of Zimbabwe is offering free transport for the movement of goods meant to alleviate the suffering of people from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, NRZ public relations manager Nyasha Maravanyika has said.

He said as part of the initiative, the NRZ transported a wagon containing 30 tonnes of rice donated under the Presidential Food Aid Scheme to people in Bulilima West constituency of Matebeleland South province.

This follows a request from a member of the House of Assembly for the constituency who is also deputy Minister of Information Communication Technology (ICT), Postal and Courier Services to assist in the movement of rice, which will be distributed to the people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the constituency.
