The national power utility has issued a statement in the wake of massive power supply interruptions experienced in some parts of Harare.
A statement by the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), the power distribution arm of ZESA, reads:
The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) would like to apologise to its valued customers in Harare Region for the power outage due to faults on the feeders supplying them.
The affected areas are Sunningdale, Hatfield, Logan Park, parts of Mainway Meadows, Parts of Prospect due to a cable fault.
Other affected areas include BHelvedere, Milton Park, Ridgeview, Westlea, Madokero, Ashdown Park, Waren Park and Bloomingdale, due to a faulty transformer.
The power utility added that its engineers and technicians are working to rectify the faults.
